Currently, we are working with: The California Endowment (TCE)NGCG is supporting TCE’s planning activities for a California Statewide Network to improve the health and well being of Boys and Men of Color and the development of its related grant program evaluation plan. Tuskegee University National Center for BioethicsTuskegee, Alabama Using the Results Based Accountability Framework (RBA), NGCG is developing an evaluation plan for a wide array of scholarly, academic and community initiatives for the National Center for Bioethics. Health Massachusetts Compact, Wellness Promotion and Disease Prevention, Diabetes TaskforceMA Executive Office of Health and Human Services/MA Department of Public Health NGCG is the lead facilitator in this statewide effort, started in the summer of 2008, to convene leaders in Massachusetts from a wide variety of organizations/institutions (governmental and non-governmental) to develop a state wide strategy and specific action steps to make a measurable change in people living with diabetes and those individuals with pre-diabetes. The lessons learned and the initial plan with be the building blocks for the broader statewide plan for Chronic Disease Management for Massachusetts. The Disparities Solutions Center (DSC) at Massachusetts General HospitalThe DSC was created as one of the first institutions of its kind in the country to help coordinate efforts to address health disparities in health care in the United States. Started with $5M from Massachusetts General Hospital and Partners Health Care, the Center is quickly becoming recognized as one of the leaders in the effort to address disparities in health care. NGCG is part of this effort and specifically provides technical assistance for the Center’s program, organizational and infrastructure development. The RBA model was used with the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Foundation of Massachusetts Health Disparities Grantees (a DSC Partner) as a simple approach to developing performance measures to assess program impact in the communities they serve.
